The art is pretty alright- generic, but not bad. The story is easy to understand and pretty accurate. The only changes are some omissions, like there's no mention of Ham's curse or Jacob putting his concubines' families in front of his wives' when he meets Esau again. It didn't gloss over everything, though; The Sodomites and Lot's daughters are included.

I'm a big fan of the first two Christian Manga books in this series Manga Messiah and Manga Metamorphosis (both 5 stars!). This book though solid, wasn't quite as good as the previous two. I think the writers covered a lot of ground but maybe they covered too much. I think the strenght of the first two books was that they concentrated for the most part on a single protagonist (Jesus in Messiah, and Paul in Metamorphosis). Because of this we got a chance to really get intimate with the historical figures and as a result we were invested in what happened to them...more so than those in Mutiny. It's of course not the point to read these books as a regular comic book but as a tool for missionary work as well. The art and production value of course is once again top notch! I would love to see books on Job, Revelations, The Prophets and judges as well. I pray that more books in this series keep coming!
I thought it was very interesting how they started off with Satan being cast down from heaven. They did not have the epic battle scenes I had pictured from the descriptions in Revelation, but still a very good read. It has an interesting portrayal of Satan's influence on mankind. The Story goes from Genesis to the crossing of the Red Sea in Exodus.delivery came on time and in great condition
my son with autism has the entire series and can quote more scripture than most people. Wonderful books for young kids and with people with special needs
My 9 year old son loves these! He cannot put them down. This is the first of 3 books based on the Old Testament and goes from Creation to Israel's exodus from Egypt (There are 2 books based on the NT, as well). I love how these books give the reader a good overview of Scripture and show how people and events are all connected. From what I've seen, the books are Biblically sound.
Stop looking for other comic style bibles for you child. The hunt stop here. We have done the action bible and many others with our children, ages 5 and 8. This bible is amazing in its depth. It never rushes the stories and captures each story with wonderful character portrayal. I find myself borrowing this from my children to read on my own.
This was a very excellent illistration of The Bible. I found that it really went with the scriptures (which were at the bottom of the pages). Its really good way to peak someones interest and bring the The Bible to life.I recommend it for all ages.
