There are not many books devoted to East Greenland and this is one of the best on the market. I highly recommend it for historians and explorers.
As a geographer with great interest in Greenland, I found this book fascinating. Provides a good introduction to the landscape, culture, and history of the region. The writing is not overly academic and reads like a good story. I will be re-reading it in preparation for my trip to East Greenland
