I just finished my Pineapple Apple Sunset Juice drink and am waiting for my Roasted Pepper and Asparagus dish to come out of the oven and decided to write a review about this book. Both great recipes are in the book!I am so glad she wrote this. It is a great book for beginners as well as seasoned vegans looking for great recipes ranging from easy with few ingredients to more elaborate meals without the pressure. It is short and sweet and to the point, which I appreciate. It reminds us to be gentle with ourselves when we slip up and the importance of taking care of our body and mind. I love this book...

This book is NOT written for a new vegan. There are no tips, guidelines, nothing. Just pages telling you what to eat each day then recipes. And these recipes are going to scare away newbies who don’t know what the products are. The first recipe for a smoothie calls for maca, Shilajit powder, lion’s mane mushroom powder, dandelion leaves, and liquid colloidal minerals. Who has all this in their kitchen?!?! Completely ridiculous.

I purchased my copy from a local health food store shortly after the book came out. As a beginner, I was more than a little intimidated, but It's very comprehensive and easy to follow. The book provides 30 days worth of recipes as well as tidbits of information that I think are useful for all levels of Vegan / Raw eating. I saw Ms. Montgomery on a local news show where she stated that you don't necessarily need to make a giant leap (paraphrasing) but baby steps and small changes add up and I think that is reflected in Vegan Challenge. Definitely makes changing your diet completely less daunting!

I’ve been vegan for over 20 years but I’m always looking for new recipes. I tend to get in a slump and eat the same stuff. I love how this book provides breakfast, lunch and dinner options. I also enjoy reading the daily facts. Also, the ingredients can be found at your local grocer. I’ve had cookbooks before and it was nearly impossible to track down all of the ingredients. I would recommend this book regardless if you’re new to the vegan world or an OG. Even if you don’t opt to take on this lifestyle, I guarantee you’ll incorporate some of these recipes into your meal planning.

Lisa Montgomery is a great example of a person who conquered a number of health issues by changing her diet. Her recipes are easy to follow and provide a nice variety of meals. Her book provides a simple, achievable plan for transitioning to a vegan diet and a healthier lifestyle.

I’ve been vegan for several years now and yet found this book to be very informative! The recipes are delicious and easy to follow! Lisa’s dedication to health and wellness is inspiring and her book is a great tool for those interested in living a more compassionate, plant based lifestyle!
