This book gives you the knowledge and inspiration to improve your health by losing weight and keeping it off. I was a carbohydrate "addict" before reading Dr. Atkins book. I found that after removing most carbs from my diet, particularly white carbs like bread and potatoes, I started to lose weight and lost my strong desire for these carbs. I had plenty meat and vegetables to satisfy my appetite. After losing 50 pounds, I was able to include a reasonable amount of good carbs in my diet and have maintained my weight level. Dr. Atkins was ahead of his time and his diet was criticized by many who have since then supported his diet.
I've been reading this book for about 5 weeks now. It really works. Every meal is a battle but this book will help. I've lost 25 lbs, and i have many more to go. This book will surely help me reach my goal.
