She shares her story of childhood sexual abuse from the heart and through it you can hear her story of healing and evolving. When such a brave story is written, the world should read it. With this book Karina shines a light in dark places so we can all be better human beings.
To write a book addressing incest is a tough subject by any angle, but to then actually come out and write a memoir, in a city as small as Hong Kong, surrounded by a community even smaller and extremely intrusive... now that’s remarkably brave!Karina’s purpose to create awareness overpowers her fear of revealing the raw truth. She embraces every triumph as whole heartedly as she has each obstacle that has come her way!She is the epitome of resilience and strength. Her ability to forgive and grow stronger in spite of her past is something I truly admire. Karina did just that when you couldn’t fathom even trying to .This story broke my heart on so many levels but built it back up as I continued through her journey of resolve and picking up the pieces of her life . Her courage and strength is what legends are made of. This lone girls fight to make something of her life and find joy in everything around her made my heart smile. A must read for anyone who’s feeling like life isn’t going their way, reading this will make you realise how you can take the reins of your life into your own hands and steer your life in the direction of happiness and fulfilment .
'A Girl's Faith' by Karina Calver is a powerful story of overcoming trauma and becoming a survivor who makes a difference in the lives of others. Karina shares her short stories with us as a reminder to us all that we can own or stories and rise above our shame. This is a beautiful memoir dedicated to Karina's grandmother and I was inspired and moved by her story. The bond that she shares with her grandmother is very deep and loving. I thoroughly recommend this beautiful book.

After her experience she chose to heal herself from deep within and embrace strength so she could go out to give others the same confidence.
