Jim Korkis' books about Walt Disney World have always fascinated me. I consider him one of the top Disney historians and am always impressed by the wide range on information he shares about Disney. The three pages of contents as shown through the LOOK INSIDE that Amazon offers is just full of the variety of info that Jim Korkis shares. I'm impressed at how well this latest book presented the information, since there is so much to include about the various facets of the Walt Disney World parks and resorts. This is a special book for all fans of Walt Disney World, especially for those of you who are interested in the history.
I have read other books like this and found them very informative. This book was informative but not so much about the parks or rides. I would not recommend to others.
Another book of never-before read stories about WDW. Never realized how many untold stories there are about WDW. Interesting read.
The Companion piece to More Secret Stories of Disneyland, here Jim Korkis writes about the histories, trivia and secrets of Walt Disney World (and beyond).Some highlights include:The Liberty Tree in the Magic Kingdom- the story of how they moved this massive old oak is fascinating!A couple pages are devoted to a often ignored attraction that my wife and I watched for quite some time after the park was officially closed- the Leapfrog Fountain.Of course, many of the national pavilions in Epcot are covered in details and their history- Italy, Morocco, France, with sides stories about Canadas lovely totem poles and more.The new Toy Story Land and Pandora areas are covered, giving some visitors a preview.The history of Dole Whip and some of it's secrets are revealed (they serve about 2 million each year in Disneyland and WDW). I love all of Jim's books and this one is no exception.
